Postcards From The Deluge

I meant to post about the flooding all across Miami Beach a couple of weeks ago. At the time ocean water was coming up every day at high tide, some days more heavily than others (especially with the influence of the moon at apogee), but still a fairly remarkable and somewhat ominous occurrence for an intractably low-lying U.S. city.

Some might not think that climate change has anything to do with this – despite a general lack of precedent – but it does remind us that if we’re not going to meaningfully mitigate the rising tide of climate, we have to start thinking of ways we can adapt to and mitigate its vast and myriad impacts.
